Provider Terms

These are the terms for providers using Provider Workspace. Brands: see the Brand Terms.

Effective date: November 16, 2026

These terms apply to agencies, consultants, AI-first companies and other marketing service providers ("providers") that use Provider Workspace or appear on Goldthread. Together with the Privacy Policy, these terms form the agreement between Goldthread, Inc. ("Goldthread", "we") and your company ("you").

Brands use Goldthread's Brand Workspace as a one-stop shop to plan work, find and choose providers, negotiate contracts, check content before it ships, and track results.

1. Your company is bound

1.1 Who agrees. These terms bind the company you represent, such as the agency entity, and not just you personally. If you are an independent consultant, they bind you and your business. By creating an account, claiming a profile or accepting an invitation, you confirm that:

  • you are authorized to accept these terms for your company, and
  • your company accepts them.

If you do not have that authority, do not use Provider Workspace.

1.2 Your team. The person who creates the account becomes its admin and can invite colleagues as admins, members or viewers. Your company is responsible for:

  • everything done under its account
  • removing people who leave
  • keeping sign-in details secure

1.3 Affiliation check. We may check that the person signing up works for the company, for example by email domain or by manual review. Passing this check confirms that the person can represent the company. It does not mean Goldthread has verified anything on your profile.

1.4 Group companies. If your account represents several brands or entities in a group, list each one. These terms bind each of them.

2. The service

2.1 Provider Workspace lets you build a profile, appear in Brand Workspace search results, receive and reply to requests from brands, and negotiate contracts with them.

2.2 Provider Workspace is free today. We may introduce paid features or fees. If we do, we will give you at least 30 days' notice, and you will not pay for anything you have not agreed to.

2.3 We may change, add or remove features. If a change materially reduces what you can do, we will tell you in advance where we reasonably can.

3. Profiles built from public information

3.1 Before you claim your profile. To help brands find providers, we create basic profiles from agencies' public websites and other public sources. Our crawler, GoldthreadBot, follows robots.txt instructions. These profiles are labelled as coming from public sources, and they may be incomplete or out of date.

3.2 Claiming. When you claim and publish your profile, your answers replace the public record. If you leave a field empty, we may show public information in it, labelled "From public sources". To replace it, answer the field yourself.

3.3 Correction and removal. You can ask us to:

  • correct information we gathered from public sources
  • remove personal details of people at your company
  • remove an unclaimed profile

Email privacy@goldthread.ai.

4. Your content and our licence

4.1 You own your content. "Your content" means everything you or your team add to Goldthread: profile answers, client lists, case studies, awards, images, videos, documents, replies and negotiations.

4.2 Licence for published content. For content you publish to brands, you give Goldthread a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to:

  • host, copy, store, adapt, translate, format, display and distribute it
  • use it to provide, promote and improve Goldthread, in any medium or channel now known or developed later, including partner sites, APIs and AI assistants (section 12)

We may extend this licence to partners we work with and to a successor company.

This licence is perpetual. If you hide your profile or close your account, we stop showing your profile in Goldthread's products. The licence continues only for copies already distributed and for aggregated or de-identified data.

4.3 Licence for private content. For content you mark "Private to Goldthread", and for uploaded documents you have not published, you give Goldthread a licence to use it only to:

  • provide the service to you, including filling in and improving your profile
  • create aggregated or de-identified data (section 11)

We do not show private content to brands or other providers.

4.4 Visibility settings. Each part of your profile has a visibility setting, such as "Shown to brands" or "Private to Goldthread". You control what you publish. We may still use your content as section 4.3 describes.

4.5 Confidential clients.

  • If you mark a client as confidential, we do not show that client's name on your profile or in search results.
  • Everything else you write is shown as you wrote it, including case-study text, files, award entries and descriptions. Do not name or describe a confidential client in other fields.
  • Goldthread can see the client's name. We may use it to match you to briefs and to create aggregated data. We will not show it to brands or other providers.

5. Uploaded documents and AI

5.1 Uploads.

  • When you upload a deck, PDF, spreadsheet or RFP response, we store the original file and a compressed copy.
  • We use AI models, currently from Anthropic and OpenAI, to read the file and suggest profile answers.
  • You review the suggestions before anything is published.
  • We do not show uploaded documents to brands unless you attach them to a section marked "Shown to brands", such as a case study.

5.2 Re-reading your documents. We may read your uploaded documents again to:

  • suggest new or better profile answers when we add questions or improve how we read documents
  • keep your profile accurate

This applies to all documents you have uploaded, including those uploaded before these terms took effect. We never publish anything from a document without showing it to you first.

5.3 Deleting documents. You can ask us to delete an uploaded document at any time, in Provider Workspace or by emailing privacy@goldthread.ai. Deleting a document does not remove profile answers you have already accepted from it. If the document was attached to a published section, it stops being shown.

5.4 AI providers. Our AI providers process your content to provide the service to us, under their business terms. Our accounts with them are set so they do not use your content to train their models. They may keep it for up to 30 days for safety and abuse monitoring.

6. Your promises about your content

You confirm that your content:

  • is accurate and not misleading, and that you will keep it up to date
  • includes client names, logos, work samples and results only where you have the right to share them, and where sharing them does not breach your agreements with your clients
  • does not infringe anyone's rights, and does not include anyone's personal information without a lawful basis
  • describes awards, certifications and team members truthfully

You are responsible for your content. We may remove or hide content that we reasonably believe breaks these terms.

7. Working with brands

7.1 What you see. When a brand sends you a request through Goldthread, you see the brand's name so you can check for conflicts.

7.2 Who sees your reply. Your reply, including any quote, goes only to that brand and the colleagues it shares the search with. Other providers never see your replies, quotes or bids.

7.3 AI processing. Where the brand uses Inbox, it may use Goldthread's AI assistant to summarize and compare replies. Our AI providers process your reply for that purpose.

7.4 Confidentiality. Treat any brand information you receive through Goldthread as confidential. Use it only to respond to that brand and to work with it.

7.5 Negotiating contracts. You can negotiate scopes, terms and prices with a brand through Goldthread. What you exchange is visible only to that brand and you. Goldthread is not a party to the contract and does not act as an agent for either side. We may use contract and pricing information in aggregated form under section 11.

7.6 Results and compliance checks. Brands may record the results of work you do for them, and may submit content you created for an independent compliance check. Check results are visible only to that brand unless it shares them with you. Brands' reported results are used across customers only in aggregated form, as section 12 describes.

8. Pricing information

8.1 If you mark your pricing model and typical project size "Shown to brands", they are shown to verified brand users only. Other providers cannot see them. Pricing details you mark private stay private.

8.2 We may include your pricing information, quotes and negotiated prices in aggregated benchmarks and market reports, following the rules in section 11. These reports never show your prices, your quotes or your name.

9. How Search ranks providers

Goldthread does not sell ranking. Results are ordered:

  1. first by whether a provider meets the brand's required criteria
  2. then by how many of the brand's criteria it meets, weighted by the importance the brand gave each one
  3. then by our model's assessment of fit, used only to break ties

Complete and accurate profile information makes it more likely that we can show you meet a brand's criteria.

10. Ratings, reviews and assessments

10.1 Goldthread may publish ratings, reviews and assessments of providers. Brands that worked with you, or independent experts working with Goldthread, may write them.

10.2 Reviews from brands. A brand may review you only if it engaged you, or ran a request with you, through Goldthread.

10.3 Expert assessments. These are the reviewer's opinion. They are based on your profile, public information and, where permitted, brands' feedback.

10.4 Your rights.

  • You can post a public response to any review or assessment.
  • You can report one that you believe is false, retaliatory or written by a competitor.

10.5 Removal.

  • We remove reviews that break our review rules.
  • We do not remove reviews because they are negative.
  • You may not offer brands anything in exchange for a review, or ask them to remove one.

11. Aggregated and de-identified data

11.1 Goldthread owns the aggregated and de-identified data it creates from use of the platform, including data created from your content and activity. We may use it for any purpose, including:

  • benchmarks and market reports
  • matching and recommendations
  • analytics
  • research
  • training our own models

This right continues after you hide your profile or close your account.

11.2 Our promises.

  • We will not try to re-identify aggregated or de-identified data.
  • We will not publish your company's prices or quotes, or the names of clients you mark as confidential.
  • We will not identify your engagements with brands.

11.3 Pricing benchmark rules. When we publish benchmarks:

  • A figure is published only when at least five different providers contribute, or seven for price figures where there is enough data.
  • No single provider makes up 25% or more of a figure.
  • Pricing data is at least three months old when used.
  • Results are shown as ranges, never as a single provider's numbers.

12. Future uses of platform data

We are building more ways to help brands find and work with the right provider. This section explains what we may do with platform data as Goldthread grows, what each use relies on, and what control you have.

UseWhat it means for youData it relies onYour control
Benchmarking and market reportsReports on typical pricing, team sizes, services and trends across providersAggregated data only, under the section 11.3 rulesOpt out of contributing (section 13)
Matching and recommendationsUsing what brands search for, shortlist, pass on and hire to improve how we match providers to briefsYour published content under the section 4.2 licence. Brands' decisions are used only in aggregated or de-identified form.Hide your profile (section 14)
Roster and outcome insightsShowing brands signals such as "brands like you had success with this provider", based on brands' reported outcomesAggregated across at least five brand organizations, and positive signals only. Your company is named because it is the subject of the signal.Hide your profile (section 14)
Goldthread inside other tools and AI agentsMaking your published profile available through Goldthread's API and connectors, and inside third-party AI assistants and agents that brands use, so brands can find you thereYour published content under the section 4.2 licence. Never your private content, replies or quotes.Hide your profile (section 14)
Personalized brief suggestionsUsing a brand's own past searches and hires to improve its new briefs. This can make you more likely to be suggested to brands that worked with you before. The brand's own data, used only for that brandNot applicable

Training our own modelsTraining Goldthread's own AI models to understand briefs and providers betterDe-identified data only. Outside AI providers do not train on your data.Opt out of model training (section 13)

13. Opt-outs

13.1 Your company's admin can email privacy@goldthread.ai to exclude your company's data from:

  • contributing to benchmarks and market reports
  • training Goldthread's own AI models

13.2 How an opt-out works.

  • It applies to future use within 30 days.
  • It does not change reports already published or data already combined into aggregates.
  • It does not end these terms. Your profile stays live unless you hide it.

13.3 A written agreement signed by Goldthread may exclude further uses. If it conflicts with these terms, it takes priority.

14. Hiding your profile and closing your account

14.1 Your admin can hide (unpublish) your profile at any time, in Provider Workspace or by emailing privacy@goldthread.ai. When you do:

  • brands can no longer find your profile in Goldthread's products
  • copies already sent to brands or partners may remain with them
  • aggregated or de-identified data stays

14.2 You can close your account by emailing privacy@goldthread.ai. We then delete or de-identify your content as the Privacy Policy describes. We may keep a basic public-source record of your company, as section 3 describes, unless you ask us to remove it.

14.3 We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts brands or Goldthread at risk. Where reasonable, we will tell you why.

14.4 If you joined before these terms. If you created your account before the effective date, these terms apply 30 days after we email you about them. They replace earlier statements from Goldthread about how provider information is used:

  • withdrawing your information means hiding your profile under section 14.1
  • distribution outside Goldthread is limited to the uses in section 12

If you do not agree, you can hide your profile or close your account before then.

15. Rules of use

You must not:

  • scrape, crawl or bulk-download Goldthread, or use its content to build a competing database
  • use Goldthread content or outputs to train AI models outside Goldthread
  • use Goldthread to send spam, or contact brands about anything other than the request they sent you
  • create fake accounts or reviews, or pose as another company
  • try to see other providers' private information, replies or quotes
  • use Goldthread to coordinate prices with other providers
  • interfere with or probe the security of the platform

16. Feedback and publicity

16.1 If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without any obligation to you.

16.2 We may name your company and show its logo as a provider on Goldthread, in our marketing and in reports. If you ask us to stop using your logo in marketing, we will.

17. Goldthread's role and liability

17.1 Goldthread is not a party to any agreement between you and a brand. We do not guarantee that you will receive requests, win work or be paid.

17.2 We provide Goldthread "as is". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose. Information from public sources, brands or AI may be incomplete or wrong.

17.3 To the extent the law allows:

  • neither party is liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits
  • Goldthread's total liability to you is limited to the greater of US$100 and the amounts you paid Goldthread in the 12 months before the claim

17.4 If someone makes a claim against Goldthread because your content infringes their rights or breaches your agreements with your clients, you will defend Goldthread and cover its costs of that claim.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will give at least 30 days' notice of material changes by email or in the product. If you keep using Goldthread after a change takes effect, you accept it. If you do not agree, you can hide your profile and close your account.

19. Law and disputes

19.1 Governing law. California law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

19.2 Informal resolution. Before starting a claim, the party making it must send the other a written notice and allow 30 days to resolve it informally.

19.3 Arbitration. Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be decided by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules, in San Francisco, California. Either party may instead bring a claim in small claims court, or ask a court for an injunction to protect intellectual property or confidential information.

19.4 No class actions. Claims may be brought only individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class or representative proceeding.

19.5 Opting out of arbitration. You can opt out of arbitration by emailing legal@goldthread.ai within 30 days of first accepting these terms. If you opt out, disputes go to the state or federal courts in San Francisco, California.

19.6 Time limit. Any claim must be brought within one year after it arises.
